The Nvidia RTX 3080 is a great graphics card for gaming, but the RTX 3080-Ti is even better. Nvidia’s latest Turing GPUs will be available in September 2019 and they’re expected to bring 4K gaming to mainstream consumers. The GeForce RTX 2070 was a great start at delivering high-end performance at affordable prices, but the new GeForce RTX series offers even better performance at an even lower price—which means there’s more power available for your next upgrade!

Nvidia RTX 2080 vs 3080-Ti
The Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti is the most powerful gaming video card available, and it’s also one of the most expensive. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is a more affordable alternative to both cards, but it’s still missing some features like ray tracing support and DLSS (deep learning super sampling). If you’re looking to save some money on your next upgrade while still getting great performance in games at 4K/60fps or better, then we recommend going with the RTX 2080 instead.
The RTX 3080 is significantly more affordable than the RTX 3080 Ti, but you can still save some money if you pick up a used model. The RTX 2070 and 2080 have been replaced by newer models and are available at similar prices as their predecessors.
The GTX 1080 Ti launched at $700 USD in May of 2017, while the GTX 1080 went for $600 USD when it debuted in August 2016. These prices may be adjusted slightly depending on what store you buy from, but they’ll give you an idea of how much more expensive new graphics cards will be compared to older ones like these two examples above that have been around since last year!
Nvidia’s RT cores
The RTX 3080 and 3080-Ti are based on Nvidia’s Turing architecture, which uses the RT cores to accelerate ray tracing, AI inferencing, AI training, and image classification. The RTX 2070 is also powered by these same RT cores–and it doesn’t have a TDP boost like the new cards.
The biggest difference between these two cards is that they both offer 2x FP64 performance (double precision) compared to 1x FP32 performance in all other Turing-based models; however they vary greatly in memory configuration depending on their price range:
- The RTX 2080 Ti comes with 11GB GDDR6 VRAM while its big brother only has 3GB GDDR6 VRAM at 8Gbps speeds; this means that you can expect higher framerates from both models regardless of whether you go for one or another one!
Refresh Rate and 4K Support
The RTX 3080 supports up to 240Hz, while the RTX 3080-Ti supports up to 240Hz. This is because the original card was limited by its predecessor’s TU104 and TU106 GPUs, which were only capable of supporting up to 120 Hz in 4K resolution at 60 FPS.
The new cards have been redesigned with more advanced technologies that allow them to produce smoother images than their predecessors could on an annual basis. These include higher clocks speeds and improved cooling systems so they can deliver smoother frame rates regardless of how many programs you’re running simultaneously or what type of content you’re viewing onscreen at any given moment (iTunes videos are going through YouTube videos).
GeForce RTX Projection (GP102)
The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is a great GPU and comes with a lot of CUDA cores and high memory bandwidth. It has the same GPU as the RTX 3080, though it has been upgraded to bring you better performance at higher resolutions.
The GP102 is built on a 12nm process that allows for greater efficiency in terms of power consumption and heat dissipation, which will help increase its longevity over time compared to previous generation cards like the 10 series.
8GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 256-bit bus
The RTX 3080 is a powerful card that can handle the most demanding games and applications, from real-time ray tracing to AI processing. It’s also ideal for video editing, graphics rendering and photo editing.
The RTX 3080 is a great choice for gamers who want to play games at 4K60fps or VR gaming at 1440p120fps on their next-gen console or PC system with a single GPU. If you don’t want to spend money on multiple GPUs but still want better performance than what your current graphics card offers then this is an excellent upgrade path!
The Nvidia RTX 3080 is a great graphics card for gaming, but the RTX 3080-Ti is even better.
The Nvidia RTX 3080 is a great graphics card for gaming, but the RTX 3080-Ti is even better. The Nvidia RTX 2070 and the GTX 1060 are both powerful enough to play games at high settings on most modern AAA titles like Fortnite or PUBG. The RTX 2080 is better than both of those cards when it comes to playing these games at maximum settings (with anti-aliasing disabled), but not as good as the RTX 3080 when it comes to doing so with anti-aliasing enabled.
The reason why this is? Because AMD has been able to create their own ray tracing technology with its rasterization unit called Navi which will allow them to provide much better performance than what we have seen thus far from either NVIDIA or Intel.”
We hope you enjoyed our comparison of the Nvidia RTX 3080 vs 3080-Ti. While both cards have great specs, we feel that the Nvidia RTX 3080 is a better deal for gamers and professionals alike. The Nvidia RTX 3080’s higher clock speeds help it deliver more frames per second than its predecessor at lower power levels, which means less heat generation from your PC and longer battery life. If you want to future-proof your rig for upcoming games like Destiny 2 or Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, then this is definitely one option worth considering!
